Hi! I’m Melanie Murphy, owner and lead planner at By Invitation Only…Event Planning and Design. My company and love for weddings all started in 2005 with a fabulous group of ladies that I have the pleasure of calling my friends. From the beginning, we’ve been serving couples by building great and lasting relationships.
I strongly believe that every one of our couples deserves everything to be perfect on their wedding day. I love to focus on how to make different aspects of the day creative, giving each couple a custom event. Style is my heart and soul (you’ll never catch me without my Kate Spade) and I love to bring different visions to life. No two couples are the same, and your event deserves to represent all our clients individuality.
Overcoming challenges are all part of what we do, and figuring out how to make your visions a reality keeps every wedding fresh, fun, and unique.

Meet Ashly - Planner and Designer
Hi there! I’m Ashly Gregor, a planner and designer with By Invitation Only…Event Planning and Design. I started with Melanie as an intern, and was thrilled to continue on after graduating from USC in 2016. I love connecting with brides on a personal level, and bringing my hands on approach to each and every event.
With every event, I love giving full attention to detail, and know that great communication is key to any successful event and relationship. I can’t wait to help guide you through the ins and outs of your event!
Our Team
One of the biggest resources for you on the day of your event is our amazing team. From setup to breakdown, our group is onsite to ensure everything is handled so you don’t have to worry. Each member is carefully selected and trained so that nothing is missed on your day, and all of our amazing event associates are overseen by the planner and designer of your event.

We understand that you are about to make some really big decisions regarding your wedding planning and we know how busy today’s couples can be – a wedding coordinator can take the stress off of you and your family by helping: find ceremony & reception sites; vendor referrals, invitation selection, producing a time line and ceremony diagram, making follow-up calls or just having someone looking out for your interests on the wedding day for any last minute adjustments.
